JAKARTA - The Indonesian Confucian Religious High Council (MATAKIN) has always supported efforts to restore Pancasila as the country's highest legal norm. This includes returning the Indonesian Constitution to the Constitution for the formulation of the nation's founders, namely the 1945 Constitution before the 1999 to 2002 Amendments. This, according to MATAKIN, fully describes the values and grains of Pancasila as the nation's ideology. This was conveyed by the Chairman of MATAKIN, Budi Santoso Tanuwibowo and the MATAKIN management when receiving a visit from the Chairman of the DPD RI AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, at Klteng Kong Miao, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Tuesday, November 7. "We agree and support the effort to return this nation to the state system that uses the Pancasila basis. For us, Pancasila is Indonesia's most valuable asset. Therefore, its values must be maintained, maintained and implemented," he said. According to Budi, what is happening now is that Pancasila is being wasted. Pancasila is not at all the result of the amendments to phase 1 to 4. "When I opened the Constitution after the amendment, I felt sad. In my opinion, how come there is a Constitution from a large country but lost to an organization's AD/ART. There is an article that is missing without explanation, then there is a confusion between the Constitution and its derivative policies and others," said Budi. In fact, Budi said, if we read the original script of the 1945 Constitution, we are like reading the Khonghucu Religious Book. "Because in BPUPKI there are four Confucian people who participate in drafting the Constitution," he said. LaNyalla added that returning to the 1945 Constitution, the original manuscript is a medicine for the nation. According to him, the issue of the nation, which has deviated, must be addressed from the root of the problem, namely upstream.

"It's like we've been far away from being targeted, that's why we're back at the original point. After that, it was fixed which made us targeted earlier. It's time for the 1945 Constitution to be replaced in 1999-2002 to be returned according to the original and then we will strengthen it again," said LaNyalla.
