KPK Prosecutor Presents Rafael Alun's Wife And Child In Court

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) presented Ernie Meike Torondek and Angelina Embun Prasasya at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) today, Wednesday, November 8. The wife and children of former Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) Rafael Alun Trisambodo will testify regarding allegations of gratification and money laundering (TPPU). "Still continuing to prove their indictment, the prosecutor's team in the case of defendant Rafael Alun, today will present witnesses," said KPK News Section Head Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, November 8. Not only that, the KPK prosecutor also summoned three other witnesses to attend. They are Antonius Among Sandi, Yulianti Noor and Bimo. Previously, KPK prosecutors had summoned Mario Dandy who is also Rafael Alun's son as a witness in the trial on Monday, November 6. At that time he admitted that he did not know about the origin of his father's assets and businesses. As for the gratification and TPPU case, the prosecutor charged Rafael Alun Trisambodo to receive gratuities worth Rp. 16.6 billion. He is suspected of making a reception with his wife, Ernie Meike Torondek.

"The defendant together with Ernie Meike Torondek gradually from May 15, 2002 to March 2013, received gratuities in the form of money, a total of Rp. 16,644,806,137," said KPK prosecutor Wawan Yunarwanto at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 30. In addition, Rafael and his wife were also charged with money laundering (TPPU) with a value of Rp. 100 billion.
