Komarudin Watubun Calls Bobby Nasution Supports Prabowo-Gibran But Doesn't Want To Leave PDIP

JAKARTA - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution has permission from the PDI-P (PDIP) to support Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). Bobby admitted that he did not want to move from the party that made his name.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Honorary Affairs, Komarudin Watubun after meeting behind closed doors for an hour with President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 6.

"Mas Bobby is between feelings that are currently volatile between feelings and thoughts, where is he going. Finally he asked if he was allowed to go there to join Pak Prabowo, Pak Prabowo's team in winning Pak Prabowo," Komarudin told reporters.

"(He, red) doesn't want to move to the party, the party there, no, stay in the PDI struggle," he continued.

Komarudin understands Bobby's feelings. However, that reason could not make his party give privileges.

Moreover, the party bearing the bull symbol has carried Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and there should be no two-leg casser.

"Only one leg. So if the PDI struggles have decided to support Pak Ganjar pranowo and Mahfud MD, all forces will be deployed to win it," he said.

Therefore, Komarudin asked Bobby to decide his wishes immediately. "Please think well and then return the party's KTA as a resignation at the PDI DPC in the struggle of the city of Medan," said the member of the DPR.

As previously reported, Bobby Nasution was behind supporting the Prabowo-Gibran pair. Although initially reluctant, he replied that he would provide support for his brother-in-law.

Bobby said briefly when asked by the media about his direction of support for Prabowo-Gibran, at the Medan Mayor's office, North Sumatra, Wednesday, October 25.

Bobby then called Gibran suitable and worthy of being a vice presidential candidate. "I think he is very good at taking a moment, in taking lessons, and this can be a lesson," he said.

Before long, he joined the volunteers of the Bobby Nasution Collaboration House to support Prabowo-Gibran. In fact, he is a party cadre bearing the bull symbol that carries the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair.

"If we have ordered volunteers to go there (Prabowo-Gibran, red) yes, like it or not, we want to go there," said Bobby in a written statement received in Medan, North Sumatra, Sunday, November 5.
