22 RTs In Jakarta Submerged By Floods Due To Yesterday's Rain

A total of 22 Neighborhood Units (RT) in DKI Jakarta were flooded due to heavy rains on Saturday, November 4.

"As of 09.00 WIB, BPBD recorded inundation that previously occurred in 10 RTs and two roads inundated, currently it is 22 RTs or 0.071 percent of the 30,772 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Isnawa Adji in Jakarta, Sunday, November 5, confiscated by Antara.

Isnawa said that in South Jakarta there is one RT inundated, namely in Rawajati Village with a height of 30 centimeters (cm) and the cause is high rainfall.

Then, in East Jakarta, there are 21 inundated RTs in Cililitan Village, two of which have a height of 20 cm and cause high rainfall and overflow of the New River.

Furthermore, in Cawang Village, 14 RTs were inundated with a height of 30 to 250 cm and the cause was high rainfall and the overflow of the Ciliwung River.

In Bidara Cina Village, there are three RTs inundated with a height of 30 to 150 centimeters (cm) and the cause of high rainfall and the overflow of the Ciliwung River.

In Kampung Melayu Village, there are two RTs inundated with a height of 125 centimeters (cm) and the cause of high rainfall and the overflow of the Ciliwung River.

Meanwhile, the areas that have receded are two RTs in East Cilandak Village.

In addition, the flooded roads that have receded are Jalan Pelabuhan Muara Batu, Penjaringan (North Jakarta) and Raya Bogor (Central Kramat Jati Main Market, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Although it has been confirmed that there are no refugees, the DKI Jakarta BPBD has mobilized personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Water Resources Service (SDA), the Bina Marga Service, the DKI Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat).

It is hoped that the personnel will suction the puddles and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads so that the inundation is targeted to recede in a short time.
