JAKARTA - Vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin promised easy permits and research funding schemes if he and presidential candidate Anies Baswedan win the 2024 presidential election.
Cak Imin promises this based on complaints from lecturers and researchers that he has so far accommodated.
"I often hear complaints from fellow lecturers and researchers, saying that taking care of administration is more complicated than teaching and research," said Cak Imin on his X social media account, Thursday 2 November.
According to him, with the convenience provided, lecturers and researchers can focus on research and innovation.
"Research permits and research funding schemes must be made easier. Incentives and rewards should be increased. Basically, the administration should be made easier so that you can just think about the research," he said.
He also admitted that he would provide accommodation to students to make it easier for them to gain knowledge and make their dreams come true.
"Including for students, we are preparing KIP Kuliah Plus to reach more beneficiaries," he said.

Cak Imin also promised that the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN pair would strengthen the education sector in order to bring change in the country.
