SYL Asked 22 Questions About Meetings To Submission Of Money

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL has finished undergoing examination as a witness in the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership. About 22 questions, two of which were about the handover of money and meetings, answered during the examination,

"Earlier there were approximately 22 questions, actually the question is just a repetition question," said SYL lawyer Djamaludin Koedoeboen to reporters, Tuesday, October 31.

According to him, investigators asked the question to see the consistency of the answer conveyed by the NasDem Party cadre.

His client is said to have firmly conveyed all the things that are known about the case that have now been investigated.

Djamaludin said that in the examination process, of the dozens of questions raised by investigators, some of them were about the growing allegations.

For example, regarding whether there was a meeting between SYL and the KPK leadership and the matter of handing over money.

"It's more about whether it was true that he was at the time, when did I forget earlier, had he met, then had there been any handover of money as has also been circulated in public," he said.

Regarding the alleged handover of money, Djamaludin said that his client had firmly denied it. Not a penny was given by SYL.

"Oh, there is indeed a question in that direction, but that is a repetition question. He was also in the previous answer, which emphasized that there was nothing like that," he said.

Syahrul Yasin Limpo has completed the examination process at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit. About five hours SYL was questioned as a witness in the alleged extortion case carried out by the KPK leadership.

Syahrul Yasin Limpo began to be questioned at around 14.00 WIB. Then, the NasDem Party cadre left the Bareskrim Polri building at 19.14 WIB.

Not a word has been conveyed by SYL. With the escort of KPK employees and several police officers, SYL continued to walk through the crowd of journalists.

In investigating the alleged extortion carried out by the KPK leadership against Syahruk Yasin Limpo, Polda Metro Jaya and the Directorate of Corruption Crime, Bareskrim Polri, have examined 55 witnesses at the investigation stage.
