Two Johar Baru Residents Compact Pickpockets Of Prabowo-Gibran Volunteer Phones In Front Of The Indonesian KPU Office

Two pickpockets were successfully arrested by the police while in action in the midst of a crowd of supporters of the Prabowo Presidential Candidate pair and the Gibran Vice Presidential Candidate in front of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) office, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 25.

The two perpetrators are known to have the initials RHM (35) and JS (28). The two perpetrators are known to be residents of Tanah Tinggi Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta.

"The two perpetrators have been secured to the Menteng Metro Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Menteng Metro Police AKP Sam Suharto when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, October 25.

From the hands of the two perpetrators, a Samsung brand cellphone belonging to the victim named Muhamad Farhan (24), a resident of Ciracas, East Jakarta. The victim has made a report to the Menteng Metro Police.

"The incident began when the victim participated in the registration procession for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates in front of the KPU building. Then the victim felt that his cellphone was lost," he said.

Then the victim saw the perpetrator taking his cellphone which was in his left pocket.

"So the perpetrator took it with his left hand. The victim suffered a loss of a black Samsung cellphone for Rp. 1.5 million," he said.

Currently, the two perpetrators are still undergoing examination at the Menteng Police Headquarters for further development. The police are also waiting for reports of other victims who feel they have lost their cellphones.
