BANDAR LAMPUNG - Former Head of the South Lampung Police Narcotics Investigation Unit AKP Andri Gustami underwent a police code of ethics trial at the Lampung Police, Thursday 19 October. The ethics panel decided that AKP Andri Gustami was sentenced to dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) or fired from the police.
The ethics panel stated that AKP Andri Gustami was proven to be involved in the international drug syndicate Fredy Pratama.
The implementation of the AKP Andri Gustami ethics trial took place behind closed doors in one of the rooms of the Lampung Regional Police's Professional and Security Division (Bid Propam) building.
The trial began with reading the suspicion and continued with the examination of nine witnesses. Five people from external police and four witnesses from internal police.
The prosecution's claim against AKP Andri Gustami, namely AKP Andri Gustami's behavior, was declared a disgraceful behavior and was placed in a special place for 30 days.
In the trial, the facts were revealed, AKP Andri Gustami received a flow of funds amounting to Rp1.3 billion from drug kingpin Fredy Pratama and the money was used for personal gain.
This number is higher than the results of the previous examination at the Lampung Regional Police against AKP Andri Gustami, which was around Rp. 800 million.
From the results of the trial chaired by Kombes Pol Budiman Sulaksono, AKP Andri Gustami was fired from the police. The verdict on the results of the trial was based on the Decree of the Police Code of Ethics Commission number PUT/98/X/2023 dated October 19, 2023.
The thing that alleviates the sanctions against AKP Andri Gustami is that he cooperates in the trial and admits that he has violated no narcotics crime.
Meanwhile, the aggravating thing is that AKP Andri Gustami's actions were carried out consciously and detrimentally by the National Police. In addition, AKP Andri Gustami has committed disciplinary violations three times since he became a police officer.
Previously, AKP Andri Gustami twice violated ethics, namely when he served as Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Tulang Bawang Police and Head of the North Lampung Police Narcotics Investigation Unit.
The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Umi Fadillah Astutik, said Andri Gustami was considered legally and convincingly proven to have violated the code of ethics related to his involvement in the drug case of the Fredy Pratama network.
