MK Taps 40 Years Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Terms Decision, PDIP: Mega's Mother Just Relax

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri was relaxed when the Constitutional Court (MK) read out the decision on the terms of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

This was conveyed by Hasto to refute the issue of the party elite meeting after the Constitutional Court read out the verdict. He said, Megawati was actually busy with the inauguration of dozens of party offices to the statue of the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno.

"There is no (PP elite meeting, ed). Earlier there was the inauguration of the party office," Hasto told reporters at the Media Center TPN Ganjar Presiden, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 16.

"In fact, in the midst of various political dynamics that occurred at the Constitutional Court, Mrs. Mega took it easy. She continued to carry out party institutions," continued Hasto.

Hasto said this step is proof that the party is still carrying out its work despite the dynamics. "We are not affected by external problems, the important thing is that we continue to move to win Mr. Ganjar Pranowo," he said.

Not only that, Megawati was also called Hasto when she mentioned the presidential and vice presidential candidates in a political speech at the event. So, they are not affected by the Constitutional Court's decision.

"That's why it's better for us to work for the people. Pak Ganjar continues to travel around Indonesia and the electoral results continue to rise because there is also Ms. Siti Atiqoh and Mas Alam Ganjar Pranowo who is very popular with women and young people," concluded Hasto.
