PAN: Constitutional Court Decision Will Be Discussed At KIM Meeting, Whoever Vice President Is Important Prabowo Wins

Chairman of the DPP PAN Saleh Partaonan Daulay assessed that the decision of the second Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the age limit of the presidential and vice presidential candidates was very surprising.

The reason is, most people consider that the first decision to reject the presidential and vice-presidential age lawsuit is the final verdict, there will be no more new decisions after that.

However, in fact, the Constitutional Court is still continuing the trial with different applicants. As a result, the Constitutional Court granted some of the petitioners' requests, namely the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates at least 40 years or experienced serving as regional heads.

"With this decision, regional heads or those who have served as regional heads under the age of 40 are allowed to become presidential or vice presidential candidates," Saleh told reporters, Monday, October 16.

The Constitutional Court's decision certainly opens up opportunities for Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka to run as a vice presidential candidate in the upcoming presidential election.

"Will Gibran be Prabowo's vice presidential candidate? The answer is, Gibran meets the requirements. It's just a question that is directed at Gibran. Whether to become a vice presidential candidate or not. Because in the end everything is returned to Gibran," said Saleh.

If Gibran is willing to become Prabowo's vice presidential candidate, Saleh continued, his name will be discussed and discussed by the general chairmen of political parties who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"What is clear, whatever the decision, KIM must be oriented to Prabowo's victory," explained the chairman of the PAN faction in the DPR.

Including considering the name of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir. Saleh said, the coalition will see plus-minus candidates from all sides. He hopes that the deliberation in KIM will produce the best decision regarding Prabowo's vice presidential candidate.

"After all, all parties must respect the Constitutional Court's decision. We are a state of law. The judge's decision must be carried out together. There is no need for a broken dynamic. Everyone must want to give the best for Indonesia," said Saleh.
