Public Prosecutor Reveals The Role Of The Three Defendants Of The Former NTB ESDM Service Official In The PT AMG Sand Mining Corruption Case

NTB - The public prosecutor (JPU) revealed the role of the three defendants as well as former officials of the West Nusa Tenggara Energy and Mineral Resources Service (ESDM) (NTB) in the corruption case of the iron sand mine PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok. The three defendants referred to by Muhammad Husni as the Head of the NTB ESDM Service served until March 2021, Syamsul Makrif as the Head of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) Division of the NTB ESDM Service, and Zainal Abidin was the definitive official of the Head of the NTB ESDM Service in 2022. The public prosecutor said that the defendant Muhammad Husni had issued a statement letter which was provided by PT AMG to complete the requirements for the mining material shipment permit. "The total iron sand cargo using a letter from the defendant Muhammad Husni reached 49,082,629 metric tons with a value of Rp6.8 billion," said Public Prosecutor Budi Tridadi when reading the indictments belonging to the three defendants at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court (PN), Friday, October 13, confiscated by Antara. Furthermore, the defendant Syamsul Makrif was charged with participating in issuing a statement letter for PT AMG. Syamsul was revealed to have issued the letter when Muhammad Husni received the mandate as Acting Regent of Sumbawa. The prosecutor stated that with a statement from Syamsul Makrif, state losses amounted to Rp14.8 billion. Then, when the defendant Zainal Abidin received the mandate as a definitive official of the Head of the NTB Energy and Mineral Resources Service in 2022, a statement was issued again for PT AMG to postulate the mining material. The letter was signed by the defendant Zainal Abidin. This letter from Zainal Abidin, which is also provided by PT AMG, made 12 shipments. The tonnage of mining materials reached 93,897,683 metric tons. Sales of mining products with the capital letter from Zainal Abidin were used by PT AMG from April 14 to December 22, 2022. State losses were also recorded to reach Rp14.7 billion.

With this description, PT AMG in the two-year period dredging iron sand in the Dedalpak Block without RKAB was recorded as having made shipments with a total tonnage of 249,661,521 metric tons. Therefore, the prosecutor in the indictment also conveyed the total state losses that appeared worth Rp36.3 billion. This loss figure has been strengthened by the results of the NTB BPKP audit. PT AMG is known to have carried out mining of iron sand without obtaining approval from the Ministry's planned activity and budget (RKAB).
