JAKARTA - The legal advisory team of former Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, Petrus Bala Pattyona, stated that his client could not attend the verdict reading trial at the Central Jakarta District Court Corruption Court on Monday. His party has confirmed the health condition of Lukas Enembe after visiting him on the 3rd Floor of the Jakarta Hospital Stroke Unit, Sunday, October 8. "I make sure that Mr. Lukas cannot attend to hear the reading of the verdict because when he said goodbye he looked without expression," said Petrus in his statement quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 8. Petrus explained that when he visited his client at the RSPAD 3 Stroke Unit with his teammates, Antonius Eko Nugroho, Lukas Enembe's condition was still in medical treatment. "I saw firsthand that Mr. Lukas was being infused and was fitted with a heart rate monitor. Mr. Lukas is weak. According to his family, since being treated on Friday afternoon, Mr. Lukas has often vomited that he has difficulty drinking or eating," he said. According to him, it has been almost 3 days since Lukas Enembe has been treated at the Jakarta Army Hospital with complaints that he often vomits and has difficulty drinking or eating. "According to the family, you can vomit three times a day," said Petrus. The complaint about the illness, he said, had been felt by his client since Tuesday (3/10), such as headaches or dizziness. The legal advisor then asked the KPK doctor to treat his client. Furthermore, the KPK doctor issued a recommendation letter to be referred to the RSPAD. However, he continued, Lukas Enembe was not immediately referred to the RSPAD so that the incident occurred in the bathroom of the KPK Detention Center on Friday (6/10). "When we were there and waited until Tuesday at 17.00 WIB, Mr. Lukas had not been taken to the RSPAD. We regret why Mr. Lukas was not immediately taken. If he was immediately taken, maybe the incident fell on the toilet on Friday morning would not have happened," said Petrus. Petrus also said that Lukas Enembe continued to experience complaints of dizziness from Wednesday (4/10) to Thursday (5/10). On Friday (6/10) his client was found falling in the bathroom. As a result of the incident, he continued, Lukas suffered a right impact and there was a lump in the head that caused bleeding in the left coconut cavity. "From the explanation of the neurologist, dr. Tannov Siregar, based on X-ray photos shown to the team of lawyers and family on Friday, there was bleeding, there was blood liquid in the cavity of Pak Lukas' left head," he said. Previously, the panel of judges at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court scheduled a verdict or verdict for the inactive Papuan Governor, Lukas Enembe, on Monday, October 9, 2023. Meanwhile, the KPK prosecutor stated that he would stick to the demands and asked the Jakarta Corruption Court panel of judges to sentence Lukas Enembe to 10 years and 6 months in prison, as well as a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to imprisonment for 6 months.

In addition, the claim to pay compensation in the amount of Rp47,833,485,350.00 was also sent to Lukas. With the provisions, in the event that Lukas does not have sufficient assets to pay the replacement money, he will be sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years.
