Kiai And Santri In Pasuruan Leave Big Hope To Ganjar

SURABAYA - The kiai and santri in Pasuruan, East Java, have entrusted high hopes to the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo so that in the future if given the mandate to lead this country, they can protect the community and bring Indonesia forward.

"Hopefully Mr. Ganjar will become president. Success in becoming a trustworthy leader and not forgetting NU," said the wife of Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School caretaker Pasuruan KH Idris Hamid, Hj. Kuni Zakiyah Idris to Ganjar as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.

Ganjar accompanied by his wife, Siti Atikoh made a friendly to a number of large kiai in Pasuruan including the caretaker of the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School Pasuruan KH Idris Hamid and the caretaker of the Nurul Islam Islamic Islamic Islamic Boarding School Pasuruan KH Muhammad Syaeful Huda.

Ganjar was warmly welcomed by the kiai and their families during the visit. They compactly pray for Ganjar to succeed in becoming a future leader.

Likewise when Ganjar arrived at Nurul Islam Islamic Islamic Boarding School. Ganjar was greeted by KH Muhammad Syaeful Huda and other scholars. At Pasuruan, the scholars also prayed for Ganjar to successfully carry out future leadership.

"Hopefully Pak Ganjar can lead Indonesia, and make this country a thayyibatun wa rabbun ghofur ballad. Hopefully Pak Ganjar will be given the strength of inner birth and get help from Allah," said the scholars while praying for Ganjar at the Islamic Nurul Islamic Islamic Boarding School.

Not only from the Kiai circles, but prayers and hopes were also conveyed by a number of Pasuruan students for Ganjar. For example, when Ganjar was at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School, hundreds of students compactly shouted chants and prayed for Ganjar to succeed in becoming president.

"Masha Allah, I am very happy to meet Pak Ganjar. The person is very handsome, kind and never arrogant. Hopefully Pak Ganjar will become president, and can protect the Indonesian people, amen," said Dian Nafisah, one of the students of Ponpes Salafiyah.

In addition to sowan to a number of scholars, Ganjar also had a pilgrimage to the grave of the great Pasuruan cleric, KH Abdul Hamid Pasuruan. During the pilgrimage, hundreds of people welcomed Ganjar with great fanfare.

Meanwhile, Ganjar said that he deliberately visited the scholars and made pilgrimages to a number of clerical graves. There are many lessons that he can imitate after visiting clerical figures.

"They are very useful for the community, not only religious knowledge but also society. They are all role models," he said.

Especially for KH Abdul Hamid Pasuruan, Ganjar said he admired the late cleric from Lasem Rembang very much. According to him, Mbah Hamid Pasuruan is known as a cleric who is gentle and has a high social spirit.

"Almost everyone saw that the great clerics must be gentle, moderately highly demonstrated and the social value is very high. So my character is an example for us. We learn very noble character from them and we must imitate them," he said.
