DENPASAR - Denpasar Immigration Office, Bali, deported two foreign nationals (WNA) from Russia who had sharp weapons, tear gas and passed a stay of more than two years.

"During the search, we also found a DPO broadcast letter (wanted list), but on behalf of other people," said Denpasar Immigration Chief Tedy Riyandi, Thursday, September 21.

Denpasar Immigration together with the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais) and the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) arrested a Russian foreigner named Maksim Zhiltsov at a villa in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali on September 14.

When searched at his residence, joint officers found eight folding knives, one tear gas unit, a DPO letter which he mentioned on behalf of another person from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation at the National Police Headquarters, three passports on behalf of another Russian citizen and a clarification summons from the Denpasar City Police dated July 22, 2023. However, the letter from the police was not disclosed in detail regarding the legal case, but only mentioned for clarification of public complaints.

Apart from Maximum, Immigration also expelled his lover, Polina Syrovatskala.

He was also deported because he knew the maximum control of sharp weapons and passed the residence permit, but did not report to Immigration and the police.

Both are subject to Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration because they are considered to endanger security and do not respect Indonesian legal regulations.

The lovers were then deported to their country this Thursday via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport with a flight schedule at 19.15 WITA boarding the Emirates plane on the Bali-Singapore-Dubai-Moscow route.

Based on records from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bali Province, as of September 20, 2023, 227 foreigners had been deported during January-20 September 2023. Meanwhile, in 2022, 188 foreigners were deported from Bali.
