Dicky 'The Mutilator' Angela Sentenced To Life In Prison

The Panel of Judges at the Cikarang District Court sentenced the defendant Ecky Listianto (38) to mutilate Angela Hindriati (54) at the trial of reading the verdict/ANTARA/Pradita Kurniawan Syah).

BEKASI - The Panel of Judges at the Cikarang District Court, Bekasi Regency, sentenced the defendant Ecky Listianto (38) 'The Mutilator' to be named Angela Hendriati (54).

"The defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment," said Chief Justice Agus Soetrisno in the Candra Court of the Cikarang District Court, reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.

The Panel of Judges stated that Dicky was legally and convincingly proven guilty of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code related to premeditated murder.

The judge believed that the defendant violated the indictment of Article 339 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder, which was heavier, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder. Dicky also violated Article 181 of the Criminal Code for hiding Angela Hendriati's body.

A spokesman for the Cikarang District Court, Isnandar Nasution, said that on the agenda of the prosecution trial, the defendant Ecky Listianto (38) was charged with the death penalty by the public prosecutor for the murder of the victim.

"The prosecutor's demand on the agenda of the previous trial is the death penalty because the defendant is considered to have committed premeditated murder and hidden the victim's body as stipulated in Article 340 of the Criminal Code and Article 181 of the Criminal Code," he said.

Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor of the Bekasi District Attorney's Office, Widyatmoko, said that his party was thinking about the life sentence handed down by the Panel of Judges at the Cikarang District Court for the murder case.

"We responded by thinking about the verdict in question. In the next week we will coordinate with the leadership first before giving a decision on today's verdict," he said.

It is known that Dicky Listianto was a defendant in the mutilation case of a woman named Angela. The victim's body was found in a rented house with the address at the address of Kampung Buaran RT 01/02, Emblemsari Village, South Tambun District, Bekasi Regency at the end of December 2022.

Before being found dead, Angela was reported missing by her family since 2019. After a series of investigations, the police named Edy as the perpetrator of this sadistic murder.
