Cak Imin About The Promise Of Free Fuel: It Was Misunderstanded Yes

BANDUNG - PKB General Chairperson (Ketum) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin responded to the statement by the Deputy Secretary General of PKB Syaiful Huda who announced the promise of free fuel oil (BBM) if the Anies Baswedan-Cak Imin duo won the 2024 presidential election. The Vice Presidential Candidate for the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP) said there was a misunderstanding regarding Syaiful Huda's statement.

"Oh yes, it was misunderstood, yes, transportation subsidies should not be stopped, especially access to work," Cak Imin told reporters after attending an event in Soreang, Bandung, Friday, September 15, which was confiscated by Antara. The subsidy, he continued, is intended for people who work at the lower level and do not get adequate public transportation. "People who work at the lowest level, cannot leave the house and do not get adequate public transportation can use motorbikes with special fuel subsidies, so it is not 0 rupiah, it is impossible," he said.

Previously, a video from the Deputy Secretary General of PKB, Syaiful Huda, went viral on social media. In the video, Syaiful Huda revealed several promises if Cak Imin won in the 2024 presidential election. One of the promises he made was that BBM would be free. "If Gus Muhaimin and PKB win, all those who have motorbikes, fuel that we subsidize. Free. At no cost. Who is here to have a motorcycle? PKB wins, Gus Muhaimin is president, subsidized as low as the price of fuel subsidies," he said.
