Mayor of West Jakarta, Uus Kuswanto, said that his party had summoned 136 owners and companies that manage high buildings to socialize the installation of high-pressure pumps (water mistgenerators) to create water fog.

"There are approximately 136 building owners that we have invited to be socialized and asked to install 'water masses' in each building," said Uusdilan ANTARA, Monday, September 11.

The socialization was carried out to the owner and manager of the building with a minimum height of eight floors. On Monday, Uus also monitored the use of a "water divergator" on the 11th floor of the A building of the West Jakarta Mayor's Office.

Regarding the limited "water mistgenerator", Uus invites owners and high building management companies to innovate so that they can install the equipment as much as possible in their respective buildings.

"For the implementation time, it has been more or less a week. Because the number of providers of goods or those who make this tool is limited, so we also provide time and opportunity for office building owners to innovate," said Uus.

Uus hopes for joint participation in the context of handling air pollution in Jakarta.

"You can look for a company that can create this 'water mass', you can also create your own with your own innovations," said Uus.

What is clear, he continued, is that no matter how much efforts are made, it is a form of togetherness for all parties in order to deal with the problem of air pollution in Jakarta.

In the near future, his party will also install a "water mistgenerator" of Building B of the West Jakarta Mayor's Office.

"What is installed at the West Jakarta City Regional Office is currently only one and God willing, it will be added back to Building B," said Uus.

He instructed the ranks of the West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) to monitor the use or installation of "water misgenerators" in buildings owned or managed by the company.

"We have formed a team and have asked fellow ranks, both in urban villages and sub-districts, to continue to remind and monitor entrepreneurs who own office buildings to immediately install a "water mass" in order to control air pollution," said Uus.

Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono targets all DKI Jakarta Provincial Government buildings to install high-pressure water pumps to suppress air pollution.

"We'll go around. We'll find out when (to check)," said Heru at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday.

The check was carried out because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) is targeting the use of "water mist"

generators to reduce air pollution have been installed in offices for a maximum of September 11, 2023.
