Annoyed That He Was Expelled During The Meeting As A Motive For The Murder Of The Brother Of The Regent Of Muratara, South Sumatra

PALEMBANG - Police officers revealed the motives of the perpetrators AR (30) and AS (35) for the murder of A (36) and the persecution of D (28) who is the younger brother of the Regent of North Musi Rawas (Muratara), South Sumatra.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at the South Sumatra Police, Kombes M Anwar Reksowidjojo, told investigators that the suspects, who were brothers and sisters, admitted that they felt hurt by the treatment of the victims.

The chronology of the incident began when the perpetrator AR came to the house of a resident of Rawas Ilir sub-district with the initials P who was holding a meeting and was attended by the victims, but AR was expelled and beaten by the victims on the grounds that the meeting was internal.

Then, AR reported the unpleasant thing to AS, who is the brother of the perpetrator AR. Then the perpetrators came back to the victim's house, abused and killed the victims.

"However, at the time of the incident victim D was stabbed in the hand and managed to escape, while victim A died after being stabbed repeatedly by the perpetrators. For the condition of victim D, he is currently still being treated at the hospital," he explained as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 8.

Based on reports from local residents, he said, the police were hunting for the suspects on Tuesday (5/9) night, and were arrested at the homes of the perpetrators at the Police in Batu Cat Village, Rawas Ilir District, Muratara Regency, Wednesday (6/9) afternoon.

The evidence that was secured included machetes, machetes, rings covered in blood, broken glasses, a pair of sandals, a broken plastic chair, and the victim's clothes.

In addition, Anwar revealed that the AR perpetrator was a recidivist with a record violation of Article 335 of the Criminal Code.

"For their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary Article 338, Article 170 paragraph 2, and Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with the threat of life imprisonment or death," he said.
