2 Drug Dealers In Labuan Bajo Arrested, 1 Perpetrator Hides Methamphetamine In Silicon HP

West Manggarai Police managed to uncover two drug dealers in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province.

"We appreciate the performance of the West Manggarai Police Narcotics Unit in its efforts to eradicate narcotics trafficking in Labuan Bajo. With this disclosure, it certainly saves many people from drug cases," said AKBP Police Chief Ari Satmoko in his statement, Wednesday, September 6, quoted by Antara.

He explained that the two drug trafficking cases in Labuan Bajo, the western tip of Flores Island, were all revealed in the first week of September 2023.

Ari explained that the first methamphetamine dealer with the initials F (23), a resident of Rasbou Village, Sape District, Bim Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, was arrested on Friday, September 1.

"Evidence in the form of two small plastic crystals containing methamphetamine weighing 0.12 grams and 0.13 grams," said Ari.

Meanwhile, the second dealer IW (33) alias Detha, a resident of Tabanan, Bali Province who lives in Wae Kelambu Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai, was arrested Monday, September 4 morning.

The perpetrator IW was arrested while taking methamphetamine at one of the goods delivery services in Labuan Bajo. The evidence that was secured in the form of a small clear plastic package containing methamphetamine was confiscated from IW.

Ari asked for the active role of the community to jointly become part of efforts to eradicate narcotics in the West Manggarai area, especially in the Super Premium Labuan Bajo Tourism City.

"We urge all West Manggarai people not to play with drugs, we will continue to work as much as possible to make West Manggarai clean of narcotics," he said.
