Gala Dinner At The ASEAN Summit, Police Do Traffic Engineering Around GBK From 4 Pm To 10 Pm

JAKARTA - The police have prepared four alternative routes for traffic users to circle the location of the 53rd ASEAN High-Level Conference (Gala Dinner) at the Bung Karno Plataran City Forest, Central Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon until evening.

Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Latif Usman said the road around GBK, Senayan, Central Jakarta had to be sterile from traffic starting at 16.00 WIB until the event was over.

"Probably until 22.00 WIB," said Latif, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 6.

For this reason, traffic users from the south of the GBK (Cipete) area to the west (Slipi) or north (Monas) can be directed through Jalan Kyai Maja, then Jalan Kebayoran Baru, Jalan Arteri Pondok Indah, rotating in front of Gandaria City Mall, then to Jalan Teuku Nyak Arief, Jalan Army Students, and so on.

Traffic users from the north of the GBK (Harmoni) area heading south (Blok M) can pass Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, then Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Jalan Abdul Muis, Jalan Fahrudin, Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, Jalan Purification, Jalan Pejompongan, Jalan Army Pelajar, Jalan Teuku Nyak Arief, Jalan Kebayoran Baru, Jalan Kyai Maja, Jalan Panglima Polim, and so on.

Traffic users from the east of the GBK (Tebet) area to the west (Slipi) can go through Captain Tendean Street, then Wolter Monginsidi Street, Trunojoyo Street, Kyai Maja Street, Kebayoran Baru Street, Arterial Pondok Indah Street, then turn around in front of Gandaria City Mall, towards Teuku Nyak Arief Street, Student Army Street, S Parman Street, and so on.

Traffic users from the west of the GBK (Slipi) area to the east (Tebet) can pass Jalan S Parman, Jalan Pejompongan, Jalan Purification, Jalan RM Margono, Jalan Galunggung, Jalan Dr Saharjo, Jalan Prof Dr Soepomo, Jalan MT Haryono, and so on.

Latif appealed to traffic users to support the success of the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

Local governments have also issued policies such as eliminating schools and implementing work from home (WFH) policies.

"Of course this is all our work, on behalf of our country as well, the pride of our country, must support everything," he said.

Latif also apologized to the public for this traffic engineering and hoped that the public would also participate in the success of the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta.

"We certainly really apologize to the public for this activity, but instead of making it difficult for us, we also want to participate for the success of the ASEAN Summit in Jakarta," he said.
