Heboh! 2 Times Run Over By Pajero, Balita In Makassar Selamat

The social media scene was shocked by CCTV surveillance camera footage showing a child under five years old (toddle) being run over by a Mitsubishi Pajero driven by a woman.

The three-month-old toddler with the initials IF was run over on Jalan Adhyaksa Baru 7, Panakkukang District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi. Surprisingly, the toddler survived even though he was run over twice.

Through the account X @be_4n93l, initially, when the black car was driving, the right front tire grazed a toddler and made him fall down. The driver stopped, but because he didn't see the toddler, he then drove his car back so that the toddler was run over again by the rear tire of the car.

The victim's mother was also around at the location. He was in the left of the car and was bathing in a well. He did not see his toddler being run over by a car twice. He just reacted when he heard his son cry.

He then took and carried his son who was lying on the road. Surprisingly, the toddler survived even though he was run over by car tires twice, which were quite large in size.

After the incident, the victim's parents, Arni, reported to the Lakalantas Unit Post of the Makassar Police Traffic Unit, Jalan Toddopuli Raya, Panakkukang District, Monday, September 4.

The authorities immediately moved quickly to secure the Mitsubishi Pajero car with plate number DD 7 ATY and brought together a driver named Hj Aty with the victim's family for mediation.

Kasat Lalu Polrestabes Makassar, AKBP Amin Toha explained, the case occurred on August 18, 2023 and CCTV footage was deliberately viralized by the victim's family because the driver no longer bears the cost of treating the toddler.

"The point is that both parties have held talks regarding the accident that occurred on August 18. Both parties, both the families of the victims and the perpetrators, have both gone to the hospital for medical examination," he said.

"But a few weeks later, the victim's family said that the child had an abnormality or illness so he asked the perpetrator to be held accountable again. However, there is miscommunication so that there is no understanding," Amin continued.

He said, in the mediation, motorists were willing to bear back the treatment of the toddler.

"Today the victim's family reported to the Traffic Unit in Toddopuli. It has been mediated by both parties and plans to be taken to Hermina Hospital for a complete medical check. Hopefully, it can be resolved by deliberation," he said.

Although the driver is willing to bear the medical costs of the toddler, the police are still investigating the case. Recently, the Mitsubishi Pajero car was detained at the Lakalantas Unit Post of the Makassar Police Traffic Unit, Jalan Toddopuli Raya, Panakkukang District.

"Later we will do further checks. After all, children (small victims) are also in condition in the sense that they are at home, not in the hospital," he said.
