JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono issued Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 593 of 2023 concerning the Air Pollution Control Task Force as a policy to accelerate the handling of air pollution.

Heru said that with the Governor's Decree, the task force could immediately be formed to control air pollution in the capital city.

"Hopefully the good work that has been running so far can be intensified and optimized again, so that the handling of air pollution can be completed quickly," said Heru at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 4.

This task force, said Heru, will immediately move quickly and coordinate to formulate comprehensive policies to deal with air pollution problems.

This task force is led by the Assistant for Development and Environment of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Afan Adriansyah Idris and accompanied by Spokesperson for the Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office.

The scope of the air pollution control task force includes compiling Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Handling Air Pollution in DKI Jakarta Province, controlling air pollution from industrial activities, and monitoring periodic air quality conditions, to health impacts from air pollution.
