Prevent Escape, Police Detain Suspect Alleged Embezzlement Of PT OMB Labuan Bajo's Position

NTT - West Manggarai Resort Police (Polres), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has arrested a suspect in the alleged embezzlement of PT OMB's position in Labuan Bajo.

"RK (42) was detained last night and is suspected of Article 374 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding embezzlement with a penalty of five years in prison," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Manggarai Police, AKP Wahyu Agha Ari Septyan in Labuan Bajo, Friday, September 1, confiscated by Antara.

RK is the Director of PT OMB who has been named a suspect in the alleged embezzlement of positions.

He had filed a pretrial lawsuit because he suspected that there was an error by the West Manggarai Police Satreskrim investigator against the procedure for determining the suspect in the alleged embezzlement of the position.

However, the lawsuit was rejected and won by the West Manggarai Police.

RK was officially detained taking into account its subjective and objective side.

Wahyu explained that the subjective reason was because of concerns about the absence of suspects when the case was transferred to the prosecutor's office, previously the suspect had been absent from the investigation agenda scheduled by investigators twice.

Meanwhile, the objective reason is related to the attitude of the suspect who is not cooperative, namely trying to eliminate a number of evidences by burning them.

"For the objective element, investigators are afraid that the person concerned will lose evidence," he said.

Now investigators are resolving the case and preparing to submit the case file to the public prosecutor (JPU) of the West Manggarai District Attorney.

"In the near future, the case files will be transferred to the prosecutor," he said.
