Reviewing Preparations For The 43rd ASEAN Summit At JCC, Jokowi: Stay Little And Finish Day

JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the preparations for the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN 2023 Summit (JCC) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Friday 1 September. On the agenda, President Jokowi arrived at the JCC at around 09.30 WIB accompanied by a number of Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, including the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir. The president and his entourage visited a number of rooms, one of which was the Media Center at Hall B JCC. In addition, Jokowi also visited the main room of the ASEAN Summit meeting at the JCC Plenary Hall. On the occasion of an interview with the mass media crew, Jokowi conveyed that the preparation of the meeting of the heads of state from 11 ASEAN countries together with nine partner countries on September 5-7 2023 was almost fully completed. "We carry out the ASEAN Summit and the small ones that need to be completed in a day or two days," he said as quoted by ANTARA. "When asked about the remaining minor things from the preparation activities of the ASEAN Summit at JCC, Jokowi gave an example, such as installing the flags of ASEAN countries. "The flag is not rising, that's all," he said. President Jokowi has also received confirmation of the presence of the head of state in the current process. the process is currently being handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He added, the agenda of this year's ASEAN Summit has many important agendas, one of which will focus on the economic sector in the ASEAN region.

"There are many (agents), but the focus is on the economy. Yes, on ASEAN growth as the center of economic growth," he said. After leaving the interview session, President Jokowi and his entourage continued their review of a number of other places.
