The Name Of The Advanced Indonesia Coalition Of The Prabowo Supporting Party Is Similar To Jokowi's Cabinet, Airlangga: Spontaneity

JAKARTA - The coalition party supporting Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in 2024 agreed to change the name of his coalition to an Advanced Indonesia Coalition. This name is similar to the name of the cabinet in the government of President Joko Widodo.

Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto explained that the determination of a new name for his coalition of parties with the Gerindra Party, PAN, PKB, and PPP was decided spontaneously before the PAN 25th anniversary event.

"If it's a name, it's called spontaneity," said Airlangga after attending the PAN Anniversary event at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 28.

Airlangga explained that the name of the Forward Indonesia Coalition was chosen with the consideration that Prabowo as the presidential candidate they support will continue Jokowi's program while leading.

"So we are looking for the name that reflects the sustainability of the President's program. Finally, we meet in the words of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition, because Indonesia's vision for the future 2045 is to prosper fairly," said Airlangga.

"This continues Pak Jokowi's program and in the past the President of the coalition was also Indonesia Maju. So, just go ahead," he continued.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) admitted that he was not involved in the decision to change the names of the coalition of the parties that carried Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in 2024.

Previously, the coalition carrying Prabowo was named the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) consisting of the Gerindra Party and PKB.

Now, after the Golkar Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN), and the Crescent Star Party (PBB) joined their coalition, Prabowo said the party leaders agreed to change the name of the coalition.

"I also just found out. I have never (involved in discussion). Of course I will report to the party that the progress has changed. It means that KKIR has been disbanded, please," said Imin at the same location.

The change in the name of this coalition was reshuffled by the general chairmen of Prabowo's supporting party before the PAN Anniversary began. Unfortunately, at that time Imin was late and only arrived when the event had been held.

Cak Imin admitted that he had just been informed by Prabowo about changing his name to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition on the sidelines of the event.

To Cak Imin, Prabowo said that the decision to change this name was because their coalition parties were included in the government of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

"Because the parties that joined were part of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. They said so. That's why I also just found out," he said.
