President Jokowi Appoints PAN-RB Minister To Be Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Ad Interim

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo appointed the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Ad Interim Security Affairs. This appointment is to temporarily replace Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD who is carrying out state duties abroad. "With regard to the letter from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs number B-172/LN.00.01/8/2023 dated August 14, 2023, addressed to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, regarding the Application for Office Travel Permits Abroad, we respectfully inform you that the President is pleased to appoint the Minister of PAN-RB as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Ad Interim," the letter reads, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 24. The appointment was stated in the letter of the Minister of State Secretary Number B-796/M/D-3/AN.00.03/08/2023 dated August 18, 2023 addressed to the Minister of PAN-RB. The letter contains the appointment of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Ad Interim Security Affairs. The appointment of the Minister of PAN-RB as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Ad Interim took place during the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD on official trips abroad.

To note, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD carried out state duties abroad from August 22 to September 1, 2023.
