Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman said heavy vehicles were prohibited from entering and crossing the inner city toll road during the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta. Latif said that the ban on heavy trucks entering inner-city toll roads on September 5, 6, and 7, 2023 will be socialized with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency. "We will coordinate with the Department of Transportation that the 5th, 6th, and 7th (September), specifically for heavy vehicles, 2x24 hours are not included in the inner city toll road. Please convey this as initial socialization before there will be distribution," said Latif at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, August 23. However, Latif said that there are alternative routes that can be passed by vehicles loaded with weight to pass. Among them are the JORR Toll Road, northern circumference, and southern circumference. "Hopefully we can understand together that for the success of our big celebration event," said Latif. The ASEAN Summit series in Jakarta began to be held on September 2. Before the peak of the event, there were business meetings between delegates from countries throughout Southeast Asia. The location for the destination for the delegation during the series of Asean Summit activities at ST Regis on Saturday-Sunday (2-3 September), at the Asean Secretariat on Saturday-Monday (2-4 September), JCC on Tuesday-Wednesday (5-6 September), Taman Plataran GBK on Wednesday (6 September), and the Sultan-State Hotel on Tuesday-Thursday (5-7 September). For example, the delegation will depart at 7.00, then at 6.30 to 08.30 there will be road closures," said Syafrin. Especially on September 6, 2023, the closure was also carried out on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in the two adah from the Youth Statue Building Segment to the Semanggi Interchange. The closure of this road takes effect from 18.00 to 22.00 WIB.
