JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas emphasized that the work of bureaucratic reform is not a matter of administrative reports, but must have an impact on the people.

"The work of bureaucratic reform should no longer be administrative. Bureaucratic reform is not a matter of administrative reports, but an impact on the people, an impact on poverty reduction, and an impact on increasing investment for job opening," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 21.

He explained that there are four areas that are the main focus of thematic bureaucratic reform, namely poverty reduction, increasing investment, digitizing public services, and accelerating the president's actual priorities such as controlling inflation.

This was conveyed by Anas when meeting a coordination forum for regional leaders (Forkopimda) and state civil servants (ASN) in Karawang Regency, West Java.

He conveyed that starting in 2023, the framework for evaluating bureaucratic reform in all ministries, institutions, and local governments which previously contained 259 question components is now simplified so that all focus on impact, not report administration.

"The current evaluation is focused on 27 indicators of results, such as reducing poverty, stunting, using domestic products, controlling inflation, increasing investment, and so on," he said.

In addition, KemenpanRB is currently making a Digital Public Service Mall (MPP) "Pilot Project" in 21 districts/cities. The digital MPP is to answer the existing challenges, how people get easy public services.

Meanwhile, Karawang Regent Cellica Nurrachadiana said Karawang's current economic growth was at 6.31 and higher than the national figure. This figure is inseparable from the large industrial growth with ease of licensing services with the presence of MPP in Karawang Regency.

According to him, the presence of Menpan RB in Karawang is expected to provide and increase better output, especially in increasing the capacity of ASN in terms of public services to the community.

"We have an MPP built with a private collaboration (non-APBD) on the assistance of Kemenpan RB. The presence of the Minister in Karawang is expected to improve the performance of our ASN and carry out full-hearted services," he said.
