Want To Borrow An RDF Plant Builder Fund But Rejected By The DPRD, This Is The DKI Provincial Government's Step

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus Setyono revealed the next step of the DKI Provincial Government in order to be able to build a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant as a waste processing facility into energy at the coal level. Initially, the DKI Provincial Government wanted to apply for a loan from the central government's National Economic Recovery (PEN) program worth IDR 1 trillion for the RDF Plant project. However, this was rejected by the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Thus, Joko admitted that the DKI Provincial Government was forced to find a way so that the regional budget (APBD) could finance the construction of RDF Plant. "This means that we have to be from our own financial ability, anyway? Yes, we will try," said Joko at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, August 21. Waste processing is one of the priority programs of the DKI Provincial Government at this time. Therefore, for the sake of RDF Plant to be built, the DKI Provincial Government will look for other program budget allocations to postpone its implementation in order to cover the cost needs of RDF Plants. "Later, the notes will be opened first. Which ones are not priorities with a budget. At the most, we will shift programs that are not prioritized," said Joko. Previously, the DKI Provincial Government requested permission from the DPRD for the application for a PEN loan for the construction of RDF Plant. Currently, RDF Plant has been built in Bantargebang, Bekasi. The provincial government plans to increase the construction of the second and third RDF Plants. However, the DPRD did not allow it. Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said that the members of the council asked the DKI Provincial Government to seek other sources of funding after not allowing the application for a PEN loan from the BUMN PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI).

"In the Rapimgab discussion, we and our friends agreed that we would not borrow any more money from PT SMI, the maximum money was inside. (Proyek) what is not a priority, just use the budget first," explained Prasetyo, Friday, August 18.
