Transjakarta Ensures Repair Of The Burned Tendean Bus Stop Next Monday

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza said that the repair of the Tendean Bus Stop, South Jakarta, will be completed and operational on Monday, August 21 next week. The Tendean bus stop caught fire on Monday, August 14 afternoon.

"This is in this weekend we will pursue it. The target is that by Monday morning everything is normal. So, we can normalize all services at the Tendean Bus Stop again," Welfizon told reporters, Friday, August 18.

Currently, Transjakarta is still providing a temporary bus stop to serve passengers at the bus service in corridor 13. This temporary bus stop is provided while waiting for repairs to be completed. Part of the access to the bus at the bus stop can also be used.

"So the two doors in front can be used. The two doors near the gate starting yesterday afternoon have been used," said Welfizon.

Meanwhile, Welfizon admitted that he did not know the value of the loss due to the burning of the Tendean bus stop. Transjakarta, he continued, is still investigating the affected assets.

"Regarding the roofs of all kinds, that's what we need to fix, there are also some IT equipment that is an inventory. If the gate is still safe. So, the part going to the prayer room is still safe," he said.

The fire at the TransJakarta bus stop on Jalan Kaptendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on August 14 afternoon panicked road users who passed through the area. The fire spread rapidly to various corners of the building in the afternoon yesterday.

The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service received information on the fire at the Tendean Bus Stop at 17.40 WIB. The fire immediately deployed 30 personnel and 7 fire engines. The fire was finally extinguished and has been cooled at 18.23 WIB.
