KKB Causes a Scene in Gome and Ilaga: Fire Contact with Officials, Burns High School Library

CENTRAL PAPUA - Burning a number of facilities in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, was carried out by members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led byten Murib.

The KKB, which operates in the Puncak Regency area, carried out the shooting and burning of BTS towers and houses of residents in Gome and Ilaga on Tuesday, August 15.

The shooting in Gome was carried out by KKB led by Numbuk Telenggen, while the shooting and burning in Ilaga was led bytenuh Murib.

The shooting that was carried out in Gome took place on Tuesday, August 15, when soldiers from the YR 300/Bjw mobile task force were heading to Gome.

The shooting ended in the sweeping of the National Army (TNI)-National Police (Polri) officers who came from Ilaga to help Yonif YR 300/Bwj. As a result, the KKB headquarters belonging to the Numbuk Telenggen group were inaugurated.

After that, the Yonif YR 300/Bwj truck returned to Ilaga. But in the middle of the road experienced a mired incident.

During the incident, the KKB suddenly fired at the truck causing Sergeant Yuan to suffer a gunshot wound, and then was evacuated to Timika.

"There were no civilian casualties but a soldier was injured in Gome and has now been evacuated to Timika," said Dandim 1714/Puncak.

Based on reports, KKB was acting again on Thursday, August 17, by setting fire to the Ilaga 1 Public High School library building.
