Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo Expresses Thanks to the Community in Commemoration of RI's 78th Anniversary

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo expressed his gratitude to the community from various groups such as farmers, fishermen, factory workers to the state civil apparatus at the Commemoration Ceremony of the 78th Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia.

"They have worked hard to realize the dreams of the freedom fighters, namely the prosperity, and progress of Indonesia, and that is not the work of one group or one person only," said Ganjar when reading the message at the Commemoration Ceremony of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day at the Central Java Province level at the Pancasila Field, Region Simpang Lima, Semarang, Thursday, August 17.

The Governor of Central Java for the two periods said that the farmers had worked hard to make Central Java one of Indonesia's food storages. He expressed his appreciation to the factory workers who were considered to have contributed to creating a conducive situation so that they had succeeded in attracting hundreds of trillions of rupiah in investment in the last ten years.

PDIP politicians also thank religious leaders because thanks to their piety, the human development index and the happiness of the people of Central Java have continued to increase.

"Thank you also to the fishermen, entrepreneurs, employees, and traders, thank you for working as well as possible," he said.

On that occasion, Ganjar also alluded to the bureaucratic reform that took place in Central Java and expressed his gratitude, especially to the civil servants so that changes in services that were easy, cheap, and fast could be felt by the community.

"I don't know what the weighbridge would look like today, if there were no major reforms after we dismantled extortion practices there," he said.

He said that Samsat's freedom from extortion practices, including in the education, health, and other public services sectors, would not be achieved if those concerned did not make improvements.

"All the arrangements will collapse if the employees don't have integrity because whatever the sector, whatever the facilities are available, the most important support for progress is the integrity of the employees who manage there," he said.

Ganjar believes that the best way to be grateful for independence is to make it a big blessing as a stimulant for the country's development, starting from the development of economic infrastructure, the development of health, education, social infrastructure to digital infrastructure that can be close to an ideal position.

At the end of his address, Ganjar's voice was shaking as he said goodbye after ten years leading Central Java Province.

According to him, the governor's term of office could end but Central Java's journey towards a better one never ends.

"I really love you, as a citizen and as a relative. Thank you, I hope that our close brotherhood will trigger peace and progress throughout Indonesia, throughout the archipelago," he said.
