Head Of RW In Pluit Perpetrators Of Harassment Will Be Removed

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Mujiyono, said that the head of RW 06 with the initials ST, who is suspected of being the perpetrator of sexual harassment, will be disabled. This was obtained by Mujiyono based on a report from the Mayor of North Jakarta.

In the near future, a number of RT devices in RW 06 Pluit Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta will hold a deliberation to decide to deactivate ST from his position.

"Next week, RW deliberations are scheduled. Of the 14 RTs, 11 have agreed to hold deliberations. This deliberation is to deactivate the head of the RW," Mujiyono told reporters, Wednesday, August 16.

Mujiyono explained that the reason the North Jakarta City Government did not immediately remove ST when he received a report on the alleged sexual harassment was because he needed strong evidence.

Now, the legal process being handled by the police can be the basis for the decision to remove the Head of RW 06 Pluit.

"The reason why the police did not take action immediately so that there was a strong side. So, the deactivation process was carried out in addition to the legal facts carried out by the police, as well as through RW rembugs to strengthen that position," explained Mujiyono.

LMK member RW 06 Pluit with the initials RI reported a case of alleged sexual harassment committed by the Head of RW 06 Pluit Village, North Jakarta to the office of Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono at DKI Jakarta City Hall.

RI reported to the DKI Provincial Government that she was a victim of verbal sexual harassment by the Head of RW 06 Pluit with the initials ST. RI asked the DKI Provincial Government to remove ST because the person concerned is still in office.

Based on the victim's confession, this case occurred in June 2022. Through a telephone call, the head of the RW initially discussed the issue of environmental improvement work to the victim.

The victim had responded to the conversation, but the RW chairman switched the chat that led to verbal abuse.

This harassment case was repeatedly carried out by the Head of RW. The victim who did not accept it was treated so that he recorded the conversation as evidence of a case of harassment that he reported to the police.

RI also reported ST to the North Jakarta Metro Police on November 30, 2022, with Article 5 of Law No. 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence. The report is registered with the number LP/B/1057/XI/2022/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKUT/POLDA METRO JAYA.

Now, ST has been named a suspect by the North Jakarta Metro Police. However, ST was not detained because he was suspected of being a minor criminal article. The person concerned is still serving as Chairman of RW 06 Pluit.
