Missing Day, 10-year-old Boy Drifting At Tanggamus Beach Lampung Found Dead

The joint Search and Rescue (SAR) team managed to find a 10-year-old boy who was missing while playing on Muara Masin Pekon (Village) Tanjungan beach, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung.

"The victim named Mahesyan was found dead at around 08.30 WIB about 500 meters from the location," said SAR Tanggamus Post Coordinator Roby Rusli, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.

Previously, a 10-year-old boy, a resident of Pematang Sawa District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, drowned by the waves while swimming on the beach.

The Functional for Disaster Management of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tanggamus Budiman Regency when contacted from the West Coast, Sunday, confirmed that a 10-year-old child had disappeared on Muara Masin beach.

"Yes, that's right, someone drowned on behalf of Mahesysyan Saputra Mad Deni, earlier at around 09.10 WIB, in Pekon (Village) Tanjungan, Pematang Sawah District," he said.

He explained that the chronology of the incident began on Sunday, yesterday at around 09.10 WIB the victim took a shower and played in the beach area.

"At around 09.00 WIB the victim and his friends were playing at the mouth of the Pekon Tanjungan machine, Pematang Sawah District at 9.10 WIB, suddenly the current came from the sea and the victim was attracted by the current into the middle of the sea," he said.
