City Government Invites Public Transportation In Tangerang Which Is Hit By A Tumbang Tree Claims Insurance

TANGERANG - The Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) of Tangerang City invited the owner of the Cimone-Balaraja angkot whose vehicle was hit by a tree to file an insurance claim.

"In the incident on Sunday (July 30) early this morning, the victim of a fallen tree car, please submit a claim, especially to an angkot vehicle," said Tangerang City Disbudpar Head Rizal Ridolloh in Tangerang, Sunday, July 30, as reported by Antara.

On Sunday, July 30 at 02.27 WIB, there was a traffic accident that caused a tree to fall and hit the Cimone-Balaraja angkot with police number A 1931 WM.

The incident began with a Kijang capsule with police number B1787 WFV driving from the PLN flyover towards Cipondoh. Right in front of the Buaran Indah gas station, Jamblang alley, it is suspected that the driver was sleepy, so the car swerved to the right and climbed onto the pavement and hit a tree, then fell across the street. The fallen tree hit a unit of Cimone-Balaraja angkot that was passing by.

"If Kijang's car is laka and can't claim Disbudpar insurance. However, of course, later the insurance will judge whether the fallen tree is in accordance with the rules or not," he said.

He said the Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) had insured 33 thousand trees in Tangerang City in collaboration with PT Asuransi Umum Bumiputera Muda 1967, so that in the event of a fallen tree causing material losses, the people in Tangerang City could apply for compensation or claim insurance through the Tangerang LIVE application by meeting certain requirements and files.

Regarding fallen trees, Disbudpar has deployed a special team every day to take care of all trees in Tangerang City.

"In this case, the Disbudpar team routinely cut large trees that have the potential to fall. Especially during the rainy season," he said.

Tangerang City BPBD Head Maryono Hasan revealed that in this incident BPBD had dispatched a team to handle the incident.

"The fallen tree has been evacuated. Then the vehicle involved in the accident has also been handled," he said.
