NTB - Mataram City Police (Polresta) is handling a case of alleged fraud committed by the Umrah travel agency company PT Mahisa Tour & Travel.

The Head of the Mataram Police, Police Commissioner Mustofa, said that his party had named a suspect with the initials NH who was the Director of PT Mahisa Tour & Travel.

"From this determination, we have detained the suspect NH," said Mustofa in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday, July 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

He added that investigators had transferred the case file to the research prosecutor and are now just waiting for the results of the file research.

"So, the file is in stage one (delegation to the research prosecutor), just waiting for the P-21 (file declared complete)," he said.

Mustofa explained that his party handled this case starting with reports from a number of victims who came from East Lombok Regency.

Before processing legally, he had tried to solve this problem through mediation between the victim and the suspect.

"At that time I mediated, but there was no common ground. A few months later the victims reported and we processed the report legally," he said.

In the alleged criminal act of fraud PT Mahisa Tour & Travel, Mustofa said that it was not only the Mataram Police who carried out the legal process for the victim's report. The East Java Police (East Java) and the NTB Police also handled this case.

Mustofa conveyed that the Mataram Police processed this report based on a report of 5 victims with a loss of Rp. 170 million. Meanwhile, the NTB Regional Police were 6 people with a loss of Rp. 60 million. "There are also reports of entry to the East Java Regional Police and the NTB Regional Police. At the East Java Regional Police, the victim's loss reached Rp. 5.9 billion, that's from one victim," he said.

Although the East Java Regional Police and the NTB Regional Police also processed the law on this case, Mustofa assured that the case that had determined NH would continue.

"What is clear is that the locus and the tempus are different. So, they are still being investigated in three different places," he said.
