TIP Rises, Kupang Police Urge High School Students To Beware Of High Salary Offers And Free Association

JAKARTA Many cases of trafficking in persons (TPPO) have been revealed. The Kupang Resort Police also reminded high school and junior high school students in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara to be vigilant if they receive offers to work abroad with high salaries.

Kupang Police Chief AKBP Anak Agung Gde Anom Wirata said that socialization activities were intensively carried out by Kupang Police officers in a number of high schools and junior high schools in Kupang Regency as an effort to prevent the occurrence of TIP cases.

He said this was related to the socialization of TIP prevention for high school and junior high school students in Kupang Regency.

He said the socialization activities carried out by the Kupang Police in a number of schools in Fatuleu District, Kupang Regency are part of the task of protecting the community, especially the younger generation, so that they do not fall into negative things that injure the future of the younger generation.

According to him, in preventing TIPs and juvenile delinquency involving high school and junior high school students, the Kupang Resort Police through the Binmas Unit conducted guidance and counseling for students of SMA Negeri 2 and SMP Negeri 6 Fatuleu Tengah Kupang Regency.

Kasat Binmas Kupang Police AKP Viktor Seputra together with a number of binmas members carried out coaching and counseling for hundreds of students at SMAN 2 Fatuleu Tengah.

Kasat Viktor conveyed information about the dangers of TIP and juvenile delinquency such as pornography, promiscuity, fights and other types of criminal acts involving teenagers.

In addition, socialization is also carried out regarding child protection law no. 23 of 2002 and Law number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE.

"The purpose of guidance and counseling in schools is to support the younger generation as the next generation of the nation who understand the dangers of TIP and free sex, pornography and misuse of social media," he said.
