BENGKULU - Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah said President Jokowi's visit to SMK in Bengkulu Province spurred enthusiasm for students in achieving their goals in education. "We both hope that this will motivate enthusiasm, so that SMK or SMA in Bengkulu will be of higher quality in producing the younger generation who are of course also qualified and competitive. Thank you Pak Jokowi," said Governor Rohidin Mersyah in Bengkulu, Antara, Thursday, July 20. One of the students of SMKN 2 Central Bengkulu Regency, Afni Harum Suci, said that President Joko Widodo's arrival at his school was a surprise and encouragement in pursuing education. Afni is grateful that President Joko Widodo chose his school to be visited. In fact, according to him, he never expected to meet directly with the President and First Lady Iriana Jokowi. "So far, I've only seen on social media, I didn't expect it, I was very happy, very happy," said Afni. President Joko Widodo made a three-day working visit to Bengkulu Province, from Wednesday 19 July to Friday 21 July 2023. On the first day in Bengkulu, President Jokowi had the opportunity to visit the 2023 secretion Festival. Then starting the second day of visit, the president came to SMKN 2 Bengkulu Tengah and continued to the Srikuncoro Village Health Center, Central Bengkulu Regency. In the afternoon Thursday, the President visited the SMK in Bengkulu City.

The President came with Mrs. Iriana Jokowi, accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
