President Jokowi And Mrs. Irian Have Arrived In Bengkulu, The Plan Is Tomorrow To Inaugurate The Toll Road

President Jokowi was welcomed by Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah and his wife, Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Major General TNI Hilman Hadi and his wife,

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana arrived in Bengkulu City at around 15.15 WIB today for a working visit. One of them inaugurated the toll road on Thursday, July 10.

President Jokowi was greeted by Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah and his wife, Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Major General TNI Hilman Hadi and his wife, and Bengkulu Regional Police Chief Inspector General Armed Wijaya and his wife, when arriving at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu City.

"From the airport, President Jokowi will go to the hotel where he will spend the night in Bengkulu City and continue his work visit agenda tomorrow," quoted from an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, July 18.

President Jokowi is scheduled to inaugurate the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road on Thursday. Based on the information gathered, the Taba Penanjung–Bengkulu Toll Road has a main road that stretches for 17.6 kilometers.

This toll road is part of the Lubuk Linggau–Curup–Bengkulu toll road which has a total length of 96 kilometers.

The Taba Penanjung–Bengkulu Toll Section began construction in September 2019.

Also accompanying President Jokowi on the flight to Bengkulu Province were Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Military Secretary to the President Admiral TNI Hersan, and Paspampres Commander Major General TNI Rafael Granada Baay.
