Lukas Enembe Rushed To RSPAD, KPK: Health Decreases, Refuses To Eat And Drink Drugs

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe was taken to the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Central Jakarta. He was treated for refusing to eat and take medicine. "The information we received, his health condition decreased because the person concerned did not want to eat and take medicine from the doctor," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, July 17. Ali explained that Lukas had actually been recommended to the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital since Saturday, July 15, 2023. However, he refused until the legal advisor and family was contacted by the KPK to persuade him. Finally, Lukas wanted to be treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. However, the refusal to eat and drink this drug was regretted by the anti-corruption commission. "We hope that the person concerned can be cooperative and disciplined in consuming drugs and follow the advice of doctors for the health and smooth running of the trial process," said Ali. Previously, Lukas was charged with accepting bribes and gratuities totaling Rp46.8 billion. The act was contrary to his obligations as state administrators.

In detail, Rp10.4 billion came from the owners of PT Melonesia Mulia, Piton Enumbi and Rp35.4 billion received from the Director of PT Tabi Anugerah Pharmindo, Rijatono Lakka. The money was given so that Lukas won the two companies in the project for the procurement of goods and services within the Papua Provincial Government for the 2013-2022 Fiscal Year. The lukas was charged with committing the act together with a number of parties. They are the Head of the Papua Province Public Housing Service (PU) for the 2013-2017 period Mikael Kambuaya and the Head of the Papua Province Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office for the 2018-2021 period.
