Jokowi Inaugurates 5 Deputy Ministers, There Is Rosan Roeslani As Deputy Minister Of BUMN

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated five new deputy ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, July 17. One of them, Rosan Roeslani, who previously served as Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, became Deputy Minister of SOEs.

From the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, the inauguration ceremony began by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya. Furthermore, Deputy for Administration and Apparatus of the Ministry of State Secretariat Nanik Purwanti read out the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 M of 2023 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Deputy Ministers of State for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period.

Based on the letter read, the five new deputy ministers who were inaugurated were:

1. Pahala Nugraha Mansury as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; 2. Nizar Patria as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information;3. Paiman Raharjo as Deputy Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration; 4. Roeslan Roesani as Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises; 5. Saiful Rahmat Deputy Minister of Religion.

Furthermore, the deputy ministers took their oaths led directly by President Jokowi. "That I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible, for the sake of my service to the nation and state," said the deputy ministers when saying the oath of office.

"That I, in carrying out my duties, will uphold the ethics of my position, work my best, with a full sense of responsibility," they continued.

Present at the inauguration were Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.

Also Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir, Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

In addition, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) Wiranto, Member of Wantimpres Mardiyono, Member of the Judicial Commission Amzulian Rifai, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Muhammad Syarifuddin, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko.
