Searching PTPN XI's Office In Surabaya, KPK Turns Out To Open New Investigations

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that it had searched the Office of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) XI in Surabaya today, Friday, July 14. This search is related to the investigation into the alleged corruption case of Cultivation Rights (HGU) for sugarcane plantations.

"This is a new investigation into allegations of corruption at PTPN XI related to the alleged land acquisition of Cultivation Rights (HGU) for sugarcane plantations there," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, July 14.

Ali did not want to specify who the suspect was in this case. He said the search for evidence was still ongoing.

The identity of the suspect to the mode of corruption will be conveyed when the investigation is sufficient. "Including what article will be, whoever the witnesses will be summoned, we will definitely convey," he said.

Furthermore, Ali ensured that the search for evidence would continue. The anti-corruption commission wants the alleged corruption to be clear and the perpetrators can be held accountable for their actions.

"Some time in the future, the team will continue to collect and complete the evidence by conducting searches and in the future, of course, we will also examine witnesses for the alleged corruption in the new investigation that we are currently carrying out," he concluded.
