Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin and Central Jakarta Metro Police Provos personnel checked the condition of the 2nd and 3rd floors of Tanah Abang Market Blok G, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 13, afternoon.

When entering Tanah Abang Market Block G, Kombes Komarudin immediately walked down a number of floors. While on the 2nd and 3rd floors, the police took care of the abandoned building materials and merchant stalls.

"The condition here is indeed dark, if it is to become a drug place, it doesn't seem like it. Because what we seem to know is that using drugs requires lighting and it is dark here. It is unlikely that this place will use drugs," said Kombes Komarudin to VOI at the location, Thursday, July 13.

After the hectic news about the discovery of mineral water bottles designed to be a methamphetamine suction device, Perumda Pasar Jaya also closed access to the entrance fence to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

"Some access has also been closed here. And there is only one access to be able to go to the mosque or above," he said.

In addition, the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Tanah Abang Metro Police also carried out clean-up actions on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Tanah Abang Market Blok G. The clean-up activity is a Polri program throughout Indonesia.

"Today is also a day to clean up the National Police together with the community and other elements. In all regions, even in Indonesia too. Incidentally in Tanah Abang District, we are centrally in Block G," he said.

Kombes Komarudin also said that some time ago there was information that this place (Tanah Abang Market Blok G) was a hotbed for thugs and drugs. However, after an investigation and inspection was carried out, the police did not find any indications of narcotics.

The mineral water bottle, which was originally suspected of being a methamphetamine suction device found in Block G, was not proven to contain drugs in the water inside.

In order to anticipate other incidents, the Central Jakarta Metro Police officers immediately carried out a clean-up action against the dust on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

"This activity is supported by traders, the community and managers. We hope that places like this will not be misused by activities that violate the provisions," he said.
