Cikupa Police Chief AKP Imam Wahyu Pramono said the perpetrator's method was to promise the victim that he could go to work at one of the companies.
"The method could include work. However, the victim was asked for IDR 6 million on the grounds that it was an administrative fee," he said in a written statement received in Tangerang, Antara, Thursday, July 13.
The victim then gave a certain amount of security money to the perpetrator. However, since then the victim has not come to work.
Due to this, the victim immediately reported it to the Cikupa Police. And officers followed up by carrying out an investigation and searching for the whereabouts of the perpetrator.
"The victim then reported the incident to the Cikupa Police. Upon receiving the report, the police moved quickly to arrest the suspect. Currently, the suspect continues to undergo questioning," he said.
He added that the Cikupa Police investigation team succeeded in arresting the perpetrator at one of the rental houses in Bojong Village, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency.
