JAKARTA - Coming to Palmerah Market, Central Jakarta, Indonesian President Joko Widodo or Jokowi checked the prices of basic commodities, which have recently experienced an increase in prices. Jokowi arrived at the Palamerah Market at 08.00 WIB, today, Monday, June 26.

The number one person in Indonesia found the price of chicken meat at a price of IDR 50 thousand per head.

"The increase is a bit high, chicken meat. Usually at a price of 30, 32, this has reached 50. I will check, maybe there is a problem in the supply, the supply," said President Joko Widodo to reporters at the location, Monday, June 26.

The increase in the price of chicken meat often occurs ahead of Eid al-Adha every year. However, the increase was too high, so it was burdensome for the community.

"The increase is too high from 30 thousand to 32 thousand. (now) It's 50 thousand. Yes, it's normal, the price for ordinary egg chicken goes up and down again. I'll check in the field later," he said.

Jokowi made a visit with his staff around the market to check the prices of other basic commodities. Jokowi also had time to talk to the traders.

Not only around checking the prices of basic necessities, Jokowi also provided assistance to several traders at Palmerah Market before finally leaving the Palmerah Market location.
