BENGKULU - Cases of illegal increase in the conservation forest area produced by Air Rami in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu, were reported to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

The report was carried out by the Mukomuko Forest Management Unit (KPH) after finding heavy equipment in the forest area.

"We have reported it, then we are waiting for action from the office and the Directorate General of Gakkum (Directorate General of Law Enforcement) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Previously, KPH Mukomuko found a unit of heavy equipment that carried out additional activities in the conservation forest area produced by Air Rami in Mukomuko.

Based on the checks, the heavy equipment is suspected to be damaged. However, until now, KPH Mukomuko does not know who the owner is because no community is in that location.

In addition to being submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, including the Directorate General of Law and Human Rights of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, KPH Mukomuko also reported this additional activity to the Bengkulu Province Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) and Bengkulu Police.

He said his party reported the additional activities of HP Air Rami because the forestry police in this agency did not have civil servant investigators (PPNS).

"Currently, there are no PPNS in the Bengkulu Province Environment and Forestry Service, the Law Enforcement Center at the KLHK, and the Bengkulu Police, for that we will delegate this case," he said.

He said, based on the results of coordination with related agencies, their budget was not yet available to go down to supervise and secure the Air Rami HP area in the area.

According to him, further action is waiting for related parties, namely the Bengkulu Province DLHK, the Directorate General of Gakkum KLHK, and the Bengkulu Police to intervene in the area to resolve it.

Aprin admitted that KPH Mukomuko was worried that if the related parties did not immediately go down to the location, the perpetrators of the forest acquisition area for the conservation forest produced by Air Rami in Mukomuko Regency would run away.
