Bripka Andry Darma, Who Uncovered Police Commissioner Petrus' 'Extortion' Action, Wanted List Status

RIAU - Riau Police included the name Bripka Andry Darma Irwan on the wanted list (DPO). This is because he has never served since being transferred to Battalion A Pekanbaru.

"Yes, it's true (Bripka Andry has DPO status, rer)," said the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Nandang Mukmin, to VOI, Thursday, June 8.

Issuance of DPO status for Bripka Andry dated March 3, 2023, or to be precise after being transferred from Battalion B Rokan Hilir. Since then, he has never served or been served.

This means that Bripka Andry has not carried out his duties or been on duty for about three months.

"The person concerned has never entered the service until now or deserted," he said.

Later, it was discovered that Bripka Andry was in Jakarta. He had visited the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), on Wednesday, June 7. The goal is to complete the requirements in the application for protection.

"Yesterday afternoon he went to the LPSK, maybe he completed the requirements," said the chairman of the LPSK, Hasto Atmojo.

Originally, Bripka Andry had applied for protection a week ago. However, until now the LPSK has not made a decision whether to grant the request or not.

"It is still being or will be reviewed by the Application Review Bureau," said Hasto.

Bripka Andry Darma Irawan is a member of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade. He was in the spotlight because he uploaded his stories to social media. It contained a deposit of IDR 650 million to Kompol Petrus H Simamora, who was his boss.

The revelation about the deposit was because Bripka Andry was annoyed. He, who was a member of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade, was transferred to Battalion A Pekanbaru.

Bripka Andry considered the transfer of duties unfair. Because there is no mistake he did. In fact, he always gave a deposit to his superiors.

Responding to the deposit, the National Police through the Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Sandi Nugroho said the Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal would take firm action against anyone involved in the case of the Brimob member's complaint. Including the case of deposits of subordinates and superiors.

"The Riau Police Chief responded to the viral issue of a Brimob member who did not accept being transferred even though he often submitted it to his superiors. Kapolda ensures that they will take firm action," Sandi said.
