Messages From Marijuana Through Social Media, Tangerang Metro Police Arrest 4 KPI Persons

TANGERANG- Tangerang Metro Police arrested 4 people suspected of abusing marijuana. Based on the information gathered, the alleged perpetrator is an individual from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho explained that the police have so far coordinated with KPI to investigate information on the involvement of KPI members in this case.

"Regarding the information on the alleged members of the KPI involved, we are currently coordinating with the KPI to confirm it," Zain said when confirmed, Wednesday, June 7.

Zain also explained that the disclosure of the narcotics abuse case began with information that marijuana transactions via Instagram were sent to Ciledug Indah, Karang Tengah, Tangerang City.

Then, the package was sent on Monday, May 8. Based on this information, the police moved and eventually arrested ER perpetrators with evidence of marijuana 2.7 kilograms.

"After receiving the package containing 3 packs of black plastic brown duct tape containing 2,725 grams (2.7 kg) suspected of being marijuana," he said.

Then ER admitted to getting the item from his uncle with the initials HMD (24). At that time he argued, the package contained spare parts of the motorbike.

"He (ER) admitted to spare parts of the motorbike via communication via cellphone," he added.

The police also carried out developments and arrested HMD at his residence in the North Petukangan area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. Evidence in the form of marijuana weighing 805 grams.

At the same time, investigators also secured TMR (20) in Cisoka, Tangerang with evidence of 844.49 grams of marijuana and MA (25) in Legok, Tangerang Regency with evidence of 88.4 grams of marijuana.
