PALU - Victims of rape of minors that occurred in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, immediately underwent surgery to remove the uterus at the Undata Palu Regional General Hospital (RSUD). "The full medical examination has been carried out by the hospital, and it is planned that the operation will be carried out next week by a team of doctors and nurses, because the patient's latest condition is stable," said Director of the Palu Undata Hospital Dr. Herry Mulyadi, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 31. He explained that the uterine removal operation was carried out based on the results of a complete examination and would certainly threaten and be risky for patients if not. "Threatens patients if not operated, because the operation is much better. Doctors do not have to lift them if they can still use drugs, but the results of the examination must be operated to save patients," he said.

He added that the patient was treated by four surgeons at the Undata Palu Hospital and is currently still isolated in a special room as an effort to protect patient privacy. "Quarantine while waiting for the operation time, and we the hospital continues to try to give the best to patients", said Herry.

The 16-year-old patient with the initials RI is an immoral victim committed by 11 men from April 2022 to January 2023. The incident was only uncovered after the victim complained of pain in her stomach to her family. Until now the police have named 10 suspects out of 11 men reported.
