JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is reviewing the proposed construction of a replacement tunnel bridge at the 'Manado Outer Ring Road' (MORR) I.
"So the Mayor of Manado has proposed to build a replacement bridge for the tunnel, so we have conveyed it to the Ministry of PUPR for evaluation," said Head of the North Sulawesi National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) Hendro Satrio MK, Antara, Sunday, May 28.
The PUPR Ministry's study relates to whether or not there is a budget for the construction of the bridge.
"So we are still waiting, hopefully we will respond. If not this year, maybe next year the construction will be," said Hendro.

"There has been a statement of free land, hopefully all the land that will be used will be free," he hoped.
He said the construction of the replacement bridge for the tunnel was to unravel the congestion of vehicles that often occur in the mouth of the tunnel when the traffic flow is congested.
